Waiting is the hardest part. We had to wait more than 5 months from the time we first saw Jake's picture to the time we finally held him. But, that was how slow the China program had become. You won't have to wait as long until you have your sweet girl in your arms.
Just wanted to say HI! We were just in Korea and stayed at the SWS guesthouse for 10 days. Does your agency in the US use SWS in Korea? Best of luck to you.......mew (mom to 10 yr.old boy adopted from Korea)
I can't imagine how hard this is for you, having her picture and no idea as to when you will have her home. Keep busy... and post some Halloween pictures!!
Hi Mary Ellen,Yes, we are with SWS. We are escorting though. Am I understanding you correctly that you just adopted a 10 year old? You don't hear of that too often. Congratulations! If you have any pictures of SWS or Korea that you don't mind sharing I would love to have some for Eden's life book. Let me know and I will find a way to send you my email address.Amiee
Happy 7 months Birthday! We love so much......Nonna and Papa Tom
Aimee,Sorry my comment was confusing! We adopted our son in Dec. of 1999 when he was 6 months old (also escorted from Korea to the US) but our family (dh, myself and two kids ages 10 & 7) just went to Korea for a vacation. We stayed at the guest house at SWS, were able to meet my son's foster mom, see his birth place and also see the babies who are on the 2nd & 3rd floor--it was amazing to me that there was almost NO crying and I think my son was glad to see where he had spent 3 weeks before being placed with his foster mom.Best of luck to you and I hope Eden comes home soon, very soon!!
Sweet Eden!!! Happy birthday to our sweet girl. The best news is that she is coming soon and then we can celebrate her milestones with her. Can't wait!
