Puppy Love

What a fun way to start the day!!! This is a video of our first morning with Hero.

Some funnies....

* While riding home from Pet Smart Adrian informed me that he no longer wants to play in the NHL when he grows up. He has decided that he wants to be a dog trainer at Pet Smart.

* Luca informed my friend Lynn that when we took Hero to the vet, "The vet put a pen in his butt." Impossible not to laugh.

Our Hero

On Monday Ron surprised all of us and brought home our puppy. I had seen Hero a few days prior and fell in love with his scruffy fur, sweet temperament, and innocent face. Hero is a West Highland Terrier and Toy Poodle mix. He is about 4 1/2 pounds right now and expected to double in size when full grown. He was born on January 2nd. He is playful, very smart, and loves to snuggle. We love him very much.

My brother also got a new puppy... Max. He was "cage mates" with Hero. As you will see in the video they were reunited and went a little nutty!

According to Wikipedia...

Patience.... is the ability to endure waiting, delay, or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties.

Acceptance... in spirituality, mindfulness, and human psychology, usually refers to the experience of a situation without an intention to change that situation. Indeed, acceptance is often suggested when a situation is both disliked and unchangeable, or when change may be possible only at great cost or risk.

Hope... is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope implies a certain amount of perseverance — i.e., believing that a positive outcome is possible even when there is some evidence to the contrary.

Anticipation... or being enthusiastic, is an emotion involving pleasure (and sometimes anxiety) in considering some expected or longed-for good event, or irritation at having to wait.

Addicted to LOST

I bought season two of LOST on DVD last week. Ron and I have been staying up waaaayyyyyy too late watching episodes. We have been paying for it every morning. Last Friday I emailed my sister and asked her to cut and paste a write up about the previous nights episode into an email for me because I can't access the DARKUFO website at work. I just couldn't wait to read it! She thinks I have a problem and I am starting to think she is right. Looks like I am not alone....

Referrals

This month's referrals arrived this week. CCAA completed 8 days this month. It was again considered a small batch based on the number of people who were logged in for those eight days. On a positive note... CCAA has finally completed all of 2005!!! The cut off was January 4, 2006.

Goal at the Joe!

Adrian's hockey team played a game at the Joe Luis Arena today... and HE SCORED A GOAL!!!!! At first we didn't think the puck went in... but as you will see and hear... we learned that it did. Ron asked Adrian how he felt right after he scored and he said, "Well, I was thinking that I have not scored in a while.... and I just scored at the Joe Luis Arena." Must have been a pretty cool moment for him. Just had to share!

Also, Adrian was "playmaker" for his three assists during his game on Saturday.

And... Adrian was asked to join the current first place team for spring hockey..... was my son just drafted??? It is such a wonderful feeling to see your kid do well at something they love so much.

Okay enough bragging.
