Barefoot Boy

The Barefoot Boy
by John Greenleaf Whittier (1855)

Blessings on thee, little man,
Barefoot boy, with cheek of tan!
With thy turned-up pantaloons,
And thy merry whistled tunes;
With thy red lip, redder still
Kissed by strawberries on the hill;
With the sunshine on thy face,
Through thy torn brim’s jaunty grace;
From my heart I give thee joy,—
Blessings on thee, barefoot boy!

Looks like so much fun!

As for us, our next step is waiting for TA (travel approval). Our agency said they expect us to travel in late August! We hope USCIS has us updated by then (Our I-171H expires Aug. 22).

We go to get our fingerprints for our new I-171H on July 18. We actually got our fingerprint appointment in one week this time. Last time it took 3 weeks to get it, so we hope USCIS is moving faster on everything.

It is so exciting.
