So Much To Post, So Little Time

We have had so many family events lately that I have wanted to post about but with going back to work, I have not had time! Here are the highlights of the past few weeks....

We had a wonderful time at my beautiful nephew Griffin's baptism. He is such a little angel.

We finally had our yearly "Adult Day Out". It is something we all look forward to all summer. Just a time to RELAX and visit with some of my favorite people.

We had our yearly family picnic. This year we had games and prizes. Egg toss, water balloons, face painting, pie eating contest, and my personal favorite... The Brittany Spears Relay. We had such a great time!

School started last week. My boys love their teachers and have lots of friends in their classes. We are off to a great start!

3-18-09 Mailed a pre-application to our agency
4-4-09 Mailed a formal application to our agency (later find out Eden was born this very day)
4-8-09 Formal application is approved by our agency
4-30-09 First home study visit with social worker
5-4-09 Second home study visit with social worker
5-16-09 Home study report is written and we approve it
5-?-09 Home study report is approved by agency director
5-28-09 Home study is mailed to Korea
8-3-09 Received word our I171H was sent to Seoul
9-15-09 We are matched with a child & referral arrives at our agency
9-16-09 We get "the call"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9-16-09 Meet with our social worker to review the referral
9-16-09 Referral is reviewed by a doctor
9-17-09 Verbally accept referral
9-21-09 Return acceptance paperwork to our agency
9-24-09 Acceptance paperwork is mailed to Korea
10-7-09 Receive Eden's legal documents from Korea
10-13-09 Paperwork is filed with our country probate court
10-28-09 Receive approval from our country probate court
10-28-09 I-600 petition is filed with USCIS
11-5-09 Receive receipt that our I600 is "in process"
11-11-09 Received updated information and pictures of our girl
12-1-09 Received I600 approval from USCIS
12-4-09 Paperwork from USCIS is received at National Visa Center (NVC in)
12-8-09 NVC forwards our paperwork to US Embassy in Seoul (NVC out)
12-14-09 US Embassy in Seoul sends information to the Korean Agency about applying for the US VISA (Packet 3 or P3)
??? Visa Interview Scheduled
12-17-09 Receive Travel Call!!!
1-1-10 Travel to Korea
1-4-10 Meet Eden for the first time
1-5-10 Eden is ours!!!!!!!!!!
1-7-10 Arrive back to the US, Family Day
1-19-10 First post placement visit with social worker
4-8-10 Second post placement visit with social worker
7-1-10 Third post placement visit with social worker
8-6-10 Formal adoption through Michigan court
